HOUSTON – August 14, 2013 – Shale-Inland Holdings, LLC. announced today that it will integrate Main Steel Polishing Co. Inc. and Metals Inc to operate as a single organization within their Fabrication & Distribution Services business platform. Both of these company’s core capabilities and expertise lie in the flat products and metals processing businesses. The geographic locations are complementary, with Main Steel operating four locations: Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Pittsburgh, and Metals Inc also operating four locations: Dallas, Houston, Mobile and Tulsa. The combined companies will be known as Main Steel.
This move will allow the combined businesses to provide its customers with a full range of products as well as unequaled processing or tolling with buffing, cut to length, polishing and slitting capabilities for sheet products combined with the existing value-added plate processing capabilities. The integration is expected to be completed by January 2014.
